As a member of Kiviks Museum's friend association, you always have a 25% discount on the entrance to our lectures! Our lectures are very well attended. We therefore always ask you to book a place, so that we can guarantee coffee and places for everyone who wants to come. As of 2026, refreshments are not included in the lecture fee. You book coffee in connection with registration.

TuesdayJune 1. International Milk Day! World Milk Day @ Kiviks Museum!
The Kivik's Museum and Archives celebrate World Milk Day on June 1 together with the whole world by drinking milk all day! World Milk Day was established in 2001 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The purpose is encouraging and celebrating the contributions of the dairy sector to nutrition, animal care, sustainability, and livelihoods. We also celebrate the open landscape and increased biodiversity as a result of grazing cows! At the Museum you are invited to learn more about sustainability and local food at Kivik historically and today. Join us at #WorldMilkDay #EnjoyDairy @WorldMilkDay. Tuesday 2 June. Cinema trip.
In association withThe biosphere association for Österlenwe mark Biosphere Day with exhibitions from those who have collaboration agreements with the Biosphere Association. Location: Norrmanns Café, Gärsnäs, at 15-18. There is the opportunity for tastings, information and conversation.
 
Monday, June 8. Nordic Walking, Coffee and Community.
In collaboration with Kiviks AIF, we develop pole walking, coffee and fellowship. Start at 10 at Hamnkiosken, Kivik. Exit at Killebacken 3 around 11 with a 15-minute talk with coffee for those who participate.
 
Wednesday 17 June. Member meeting.
The museum has a member meeting at ICA Kivik at 9-18. Everyone who pays the membership fee on the spot for 2026 gets a 10% discount at ICA Kivik on one purchase! Kiviks Museum in collaboration with ICA Kivik.
 
Tuesday 23 June. Journalism in an AI era?Book a place and coffee at least two days in advance!
For 153 years, Ystads Allehanda has been writing the contemporary history of south-eastern Scania. What does today's digital newspaper, where reporters use AI tools to help, have in common with the first issue printed on a hand-operated press in 1873? More than you might think, says editor-in-chief Lars Mohlin, who talks about the local newspaper's role then and now. Location: Killebacken 3, at 18.30. Entrance SEK 100. Museum members SEK 75. Saturday 4 July. Fun at Kivik.
Kivik Tång and Kiviks Museum invite you to a family day at the beach outside the sauna at 11-15! The lab wagon is in place and there are amber toys for children in the museum tent on the beach. Free entry to the tent, which also has association exhibitions! The museum on Bredarörsvägen is open as usual with coffee, ice cream and exhibitions at 13-17.
 

Tuesday 7 July. Genealogy Day.
We celebrate genealogy day at Österlen at 13-14 at the museum on Bredarörsvägen. Goodies from the archives. We answer questions about genealogy and how the collections at Kiviks Museum & Archives can contribute. A collaboration with Österlen's Family and Folklife Research Association. Regular museum admission SEK 50.

Saturday 11 July. Happy Children at Kivik.
Barnens Kulturverkstad, free ice cream from Engelholmsglass and free entry for all creative children up to 12 years old. Adults are only admitted when accompanied by at least one child. Running tip round with winnings in collaboration with Kiviksgraven. Sale of grilled sausages and drinks. Open at the museum at 11-17. A collaboration with Kiviks Turism.

Kiviks Museum celebrates Baltic Sea Day with the John Nurminens Foundation, Samverkan för Hanöbukten and Biosphere Association Österlen. Simrishamn's fishing harbor is under threat; salmon fishing is gone, eel fishing is limited and in 2019 cod fishing was stopped. Crisis situation for herring and sprat. Is it too late? Vesa Tschernij from Marint Centrum reflects. Location: Killebacken 3, at 18.30. Entrance SEK 100. Museum members SEK 75. Coffee can be bought for SEK 50. The Etruscans and their fugitive trail. Certainly many people know about the Etruscans who came and disappeared and some have probably been to the Villa Giulia museum in Rome, the iconic Etruscan museum just below the Swedish Institute. But what elusive, elusive traces have this enigmatic people left in today's southern Tuscany? Göran Söderberg, architect SAR/MSA and former archaeological field photographer tells us.
