Kivik's museum's geographical recording and responsibilities
In accordance with Ola Cappelin's basic text and with accreditations from the National Antiquities Office and the National Archives, the Kivik Museum is responsible for the geographical catchment area for:
- collection and preservation for the future ofarchivesIn the form of documents, maps, photographs and stories from private individuals, companies, associations and organizations
- collection and preservation for the future ofsubjectfrom private individuals, companies, associations and organizations (see, however, ourAcquisition policy, when items are space -consuming)
- Documentation and research on ancient remains and ancient environments
- Contemporary documentation
- Social beneficial and applicable research in archeology, ethnology, history, cultural geography, etc.
- Distribution of knowledge and available through exhibitions, guided hikes, lectures, etc.
- Tips and advice for associations in the area on archival and museum issues.
