Albo Book Town - Kiviks Museum

For books, literature and reading in southeastern Skåne

Sunday, May 4, 2025, Albo Book Town was raised in the international book village organizationInternational Organization of Book Towns.

The initiative for the formation of Albo Book Town was taken by the Kivik Museum in collaboration withBorrby Bokby, which has long been Sweden's only book village. At the Kivik Museum, we have over the years invested a great deal in literature, including in the form of book release, author talks, stories about books and a separateanthology. Through the formation of a book village, we will expand the investments in books, literature and reading.

The name Albo Book Town comes from the old district nameAlbo, since the collaboration around Bokbyn takes place within what was previously Albo district.

Behind the venture standsKivik's Museum, Kivik's Parish, SPF Seniors Kivik, Miracle Kivik, BestKille book change corner, Vitemölle book change corner, Brösarp's guest Gifveri and Bengtemölle farm. Anyone who wants to invest in literature, reading, books within Albo Härad, is warmly welcomed in the collaboration!
